     Greta Mary Alison Watson was the daughter of James Herbert Watson.2 She married Sir Ernest Manifold Raeburn, son of Sir William Hannay Raeburn, 1st Bt. and Sarah Manifold, on 6 June 1910.1 She died in 1975.1
     From 6 June 1910, her married name became Raeburn.1

     Sir William Digby Manifold Raeburn was born on 6 August 1915.1 He was the son of Sir Ernest Manifold Raeburn and Greta Mary Alison Watson.2 He married Adeline Margaret Pryor, daughter of Thomas Selwyn Pryor and Marion Blanche Halsey, on 23 April 1960.1 He died on 8 December 2001 at age 86.3
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1940 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Scottish Guards.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1941.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.1 He was Commander of the 2nd Battalion between 1953 and 1955.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1958 and 1959.1 He was Commander of the 1st Guards Brigade Group between 1960 and 1961.1 He was director of Combat Development (Army) between 1963 and 1965.1 He was Chief of Staff of the Allied Forces of Northern Europe between 1965 and 1968.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1966.1 He was Chief Army Instructor at the Imperial Defence College between 1968 and 1970.1 He was Keeper of the Jewel House and Governor of the Tower of London between 1971 and 1979.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1979.1 He lived at 25 St. Ann's Terrace, London, England.1
