     Colonel Archibald George Seymour was born on 21 September 1875.1 He was the son of Sir George Evelyn Seymour and Evelyn Elizabeth Campbell.1 He married Ellen Mary Bucknall, daughter of R. Corfield Bucknall, on 30 April 1907.1 He died on 30 December 1933 at age 58.1
     Colonel Archibald George Seymour fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd Dargoons.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 10th Hussars.1 He was decorated with the award of Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) (4th Class) in 1921.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1924.1
