     Reverend Matthew Richard Septimus Onslow was born on 27 November 1856.1 He was the son of Sir Matthew Richard Onslow, 4th Bt. and Mary Salter.2 He married, firstly, Mary Green, daughter of Reverend Edward Jonathan Green, on 21 August 1883.1 He married, secondly, Fanny Harriet Green, daughter of Reverend Thomas Green, on 23 August 1894.1 He died on 30 November 1932 at age 76.1
     He graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Chaplain in the Royal Navy.1 He was Rector between 1905 and 1926 at Stoke Edith, Herefordshire, England.1
