     Major Sir Edward Morgan Crofton, 9th Bt. was born on 26 July 1945.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Morgan George Crofton, 6th Bt. and Margaret Amelia Dallett.1 He married Emma Victoria Mildred Dashwood, daughter of Sir Henry George Massy Dashwood, 8th Bt. and Susan Mary Montgomerie-Charrington, on 26 March 1977.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.1 He was admitted to Gentleman-at-Arms in 1996.1 He lived in 2003 at Long Durford Wood, Petersfield, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Crofton, of Mohill Caslte, co. Leitrim [U.K., 1801] on 26 May 2016.
