     Major Alexander Nisbet was the son of Sir Alexander Nisbet of that Ilk and Katharine Swinton.2 He died in 1644 at York, Yorkshire, England, killed in the siege.1
     He gained the rank of Major.1 He fought in the Siege of York in 1644.1

     Adam Nisbet was the son of Sir Alexander Nisbet of that Ilk and Katharine Swinton.2 He married Janet Aikenhead, daughter of Alexander Aikenhead, on 24 March 1653.1 He died on 6 February 1674.1

     Janet Aikenhead is the daughter of Alexander Aikenhead.2 She married Adam Nisbet, son of Sir Alexander Nisbet of that Ilk and Katharine Swinton, on 24 March 1653.1
     From 24 March 1653, her married name became Nisbet.

     Alexander Nisbet was born in April 1657.1 He was the son of Adam Nisbet and Janet Aikenhead.2 He died on 5 December 1725 at age 68, unmarried.1
     He wrote the book The System of Heraldry.1
