William Archibald Napier was born on 25 March 1845.1 He was the son of Major Hon. Charles Napier and Annabella Jane Gatacre.2 He married Mabel Royds, daughter of William Edward Royds and Mary Anne Molyneux, on 30 April 1879.1 He died on 13 August 1901 at age 56.1
