     Maj.-Gen. Arthur Edmund Sandbach was born in 1859. He was the son of Henry Robertson Sandbach and Elizabeth Charlotte Williams.² He married Hon. Ina Douglas-Pennant, daughter of Colonel George Sholto Gordon Douglas-Pennant, 2nd Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai and Pamela Blanche Rushout, on 15 January 1902.³ He died on 25 June 1928.³
