     Vernon Marjorie Whitefoord was born on 15 May 1907.¹ He was the son of Captain Caleb Alan Bryce Whitefoord and Evelyn Margaret Mary Whitefoord.¹ He died on 20 August 1944 at age 37, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Senior Commander in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, during the Second World War.¹
