     Hon. David William Early Chubb was born on 31 May 1914.¹ He was the son of Charles Archibald Chubb, 2nd Baron Hayter and Mary Haworth.¹ He married Veronica Clifton, daughter of William Clifton, on 2 December 1939.¹ He died on 4 March 1993 at age 78.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches and became a POW.¹ He was Attaché to Copenhagen between 1960 and 1962.¹

     Veronica Clifton was born in 1920.² She was the daughter of William Clifton.¹ She married Hon. David William Early Chubb, son of Charles Archibald Chubb, 2nd Baron Hayter and Mary Haworth, on 2 December 1939.¹ She died on 2 September 2014.²
     From 2 December 1939, her married name became Chubb.¹ She lived in 2003 at 2 Buckholt Road, Broughton, Hampshire, England^G.¹
