     James Gandy was born on 4 November 1787.1 He was the son of James Gandy and Jane Beck.2 He married Annie Hogarth Long on 7 May 1816.1 He died on 24 August 1859 at age 71.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Westmorland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Westmorland.1 He lived at Heaves, Westmorland, England.1

     Barbara Gandy was the daughter of James Gandy and Annie Hogarth Long.2 She married Richard Norris Gandy on 1 September 1858.1 She died on 20 November 1865, without issue.1
     From 1 September 1858, her married name became Rogers.1 From 1859, her married name became Gandy.

Richard Norris Gandy1

     Richard Norris Gandy married Barbara Gandy, daughter of James Gandy and Annie Hogarth Long, on 1 September 1858.1
     He was given the name of Richard Norris Rogers at birth.1 In 1859 his name was legally changed to Richard Norris Gandy by Royal Licence.1
