     Grace Catherine Wolfe Murray was born on 9 March 1879 at Colombo, Sri Lanka.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir James Wolfe Murray and Arabella Bray.3 She married Major Sholto William Douglas, son of Major G. M. Douglas, on 9 February 1901.1 She died on 8 March 1942 at age 62.1
     From 9 February 1901, her married name became Douglas.

     Major Sholto William Douglas was the son of Major G. M. Douglas.2 He married Grace Catherine Wolfe Murray, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir James Wolfe Murray and Arabella Bray, on 9 February 1901.1 He died on 12 April 1959.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He held the office of Chief Constable of Lothianshire and Peebles-shire.1 He became a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1

     From 16 February 1904, her married name became Sutherland.

     He was educated at Wellington College, Wellington, Berkshire, England.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of British Honduras.1
