Reverend Sir Edmund George Lionel Mowbray, 4th Bt. was born on 26 June 1859.1 He was the son of Sir John Robert Mowbray, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Mowbray.2 He married Caroline Elwes Field, daughter of Lt.-Gen. George T. Field, on 27 January 1891.1 He died on 2 February 1919 at age 59.1
He graduated with a New College Oxford Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was also known as 4th Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].1 He was ordained , Rector Durley Hampshire 1890–92, Vicar St Bartholomew, Charlton-in-Dover, 1892–1906, Freeland Oxford 1908–09 and St Michael and All Angels Brighton 1909–17 in 1883.1
