     George Byng Morris was born on 25 March 1816.¹ He was the son of Sir John Morris, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Lucy Juliana Byng.² He married Emily Matilda Smith, daughter of Charles H. Smith, on 23 October 1852.¹ He died on 3 December 1899 at age 83.¹

     Charles Alan Smith Morris was born on 15 May 1895.¹ He was the son of Charles Smith Morris and Maud Mary Alston.² He died on 7 May 1917 at age 21 at Arras, France, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded three times.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Battle of Arras.¹

     Daisy Emily Smith Morris is the daughter of Charles Smith Morris and Maud Mary Alston.² She married Brigadier Geoffrey William Auten, son of William Blee Auten, on 30 April 1930.¹
