George Byng Morris was born on 25 March 1816.1 He was the son of Sir John Morris, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Lucy Juliana Byng.2 He married Emily Matilda Smith, daughter of Charles H. Smith, on 23 October 1852.1 He died on 3 December 1899 at age 83.1
