Sir Guilford Lindsey Molesworth was born on 3 May 1828.1 He was the son of Reverend John Edward Nassau Molesworth and Harriet Mackinnon.2 He married Maria Elizabeth Bridges, daughter of John Thomas Bridges and Harriett Elizabeth Affleck, on 22 August 1854.1 He died on 21 January 1925 at age 96.1
He was with the India Public Works Department.1 He was consulting engineer, Government of India for State Railways between 1871 and 1889.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1888.1
