     Sir William Pilkington, 8th Bt. was baptised on 14 November 1775.1 He was the son of Sir Michael Pilkington, 6th Bt. and Isabella Rawstorne.2 He married Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington, daughter of Thomas Swinnerton and Mary Milborne, on 25 June 1825.1 He died on 30 September 1850 at age 74.1
     He lived at Chevet in Royston, Yorkshire, England, which he bought from his nieces on inheriting the baronetcy.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Pilkington, of Stanley, near Wakefield and Nether Bradley, also co. Yorks [N.S., 1635] on 9 July 1811.1

Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington1

     Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington was the daughter of Thomas Swinnerton and Mary Milborne.1 She married Sir William Pilkington, 8th Bt., son of Sir Michael Pilkington, 6th Bt. and Isabella Rawstorne, on 25 June 1825.1 She died on 11 December 1854.1
     From 25 June 1825, her married name became Pilkington. Between 1836 and 1837 her name was legally changed to Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington by Act of Parliament.1

     Sir Thomas Edward Pilkington, 9th Bt. was born on 19 March 1829.1 He was the son of Sir William Pilkington, 8th Bt. and Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington.2 He died on 7 February 1854 at age 24, unmarried.1
     He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He lived at Chevet in Royston, Yorkshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Pilkington, of Stanley, near Wakefield and Nether Bradley, also co. Yorks [N.S., 1635] on 30 September 1850.1

     Sir William Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington, 10th Bt. was born on 8 June 1831.1 He was the son of Sir William Pilkington, 8th Bt. and Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington.2 He died on 12 November 1855 at age 24, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of William Pilkington at birth.1 Between 1836 and 1837 his name was legally changed to William Milborne-Swinnerton by Act of Parliament.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenan in 1854 in the Staffordshire Yeomanry.1 He lived at Chevet in Royston, Yorkshire, England.1 In 1854 his name was legally changed to William Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington by Act of Parliament.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Pilkington, of Stanley, near Wakefield and Nether Bradley, also co. Yorks [N.S., 1635] on 7 February 1854.1

     Elizabeth Wood was the daughter of John Wood and Alice Hill.1 She married S. Lees in August 1835.1 She died in January 1901.1

     Isabella Elizabeth Georgiana Kinleside was the daughter of Reverend Charles Gradwicke Raikes Kinleside and Elizabeth Charlotte Jemima Brydges.1 She married Sir Lionel Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington, 11th Bt., son of Sir William Pilkington, 8th Bt. and Mary Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington, on 3 February 1857.1 She died on 8 January 1894.1
     From 3 February 1857, her married name became Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington.
