     William Rees lived at Llettyshenkin, Glamorgan, Wales.¹

     Anne Rees was the daughter of William Rees.² She married William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr, son of Thomas William Lewis and Mary Anne John, on 1 March 1864.¹ She died on 2 October 1902.¹
     From 1 March 1864, her married name became Lewis.

     Herbert Clark Lewis, 2nd Baron Merthyr was born on 3 July 1866.¹ He was the son of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees.² He married Elizabeth Anna Couchman, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Richard Short Couchman, on 5 October 1899.¹ He died on 20 March 1932 at age 65.¹

     Hon. Trevor Gwyn Elliot Lewis was born on 4 January 1871.¹ He was the son of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees.² He married Sara Winston Scales, daughter of C. C. Scales, on 21 November 1903.¹ He died on 19 April 1921 at age 50.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1891 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a practising barrister.¹

     Sara Winston Scales was the daughter of C. C. Scales.¹ She married Hon. Trevor Gwyn Elliot Lewis, son of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees, on 21 November 1903.¹ She died on 17 December 1961.¹
     From 21 November 1903, her married name became Lewis.

     Hon. Katharine Mary Lewis was the daughter of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees.² She married Most Reverend Charles Alfred Howell Green on 18 January 1899.¹ She died on 8 February 1950.¹
     From 18 January 1899, her married name became Green.

     Most Reverend Charles Alfred Howell Green married Hon. Katharine Mary Lewis, daughter of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees, on 18 January 1899.¹ He died on 7 May 1944.¹
     He held the office of Archbishop of Wales.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Bangor.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)¹

     Hon. Annie Lucy Lewis was the daughter of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees.² She died on 9 September 1951, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Lilian Tydfil Lewis was the daughter of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees.² She died on 15 June 1964, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Gwendolen Halliburton Lewis was the son of William Thomas Lewis, 1st Baron Merthyr and Anne Rees.² He died on 1 January 1944, unmarried.¹
