Sir Gordon Nevil Macready, 2nd Bt. and Elisabeth Pauline Sabine Marie de Noailles.2 He married Mary Fergusson, daughter of Sir John Donald Balfour Fergusson, on 16 September 1949.1 He died on 27 September 2014 at age 93.3
     He was educated at Cheltham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1942 in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1942 and 1947, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Staff Captain in 1945.1 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1947 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 ) He was with BBC European Service between 1947 and 1950.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Macready, of Cheltenham, co. Gloucester [U.K., 1923] on 17 October 1956.2 He was managing director Mobil Oil between 1975 and 1985.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1983.1 He was chairman of Crafts Council
between 1984 and 1991.1 He was deputy chairman of British Horseracing Board between 1993 and 1995.1 He lived in 2003 at The White House, Odiham, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
