     Margaret Campbell is the daughter of Colin Campbell, 5th of Lochnell.2 She married Lt.-Col. Hector Maclaine, 12th of Lochbuie, son of Lachlan Maclaine, 11th of Lochbuie and Margaret Maclean, on 12 November 1669.1
      Her married name became Maclaine.

     Murdoch Maclaine, 13th of Lochbuie was the son of Lt.-Col. Hector Maclaine, 12th of Lochbuie and Margaret Campbell.2 He married Anna Campbell, daughter of Sir Hugh Campbell of Cawdor, on 27 November 1705.2 He died before 1729.2

     John Maclaine, 17th of Lochbuie was the son of Allan Maclaine and Julia Maclean.2 He married Isabel Maclean, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Donald Maclean, 3rd of Brolas, 6th Bt..2 He died on 4 February 1778, with a natural s (Gillean Maclaine, WS, of Edinburgh, later of Scallastle House, Mull, b 1724, d 4 Feb 1788, with other issue, a bastard s by Janet MacPhail (later married John/Iain Buchanan of Fellonmore ancestor of the BUCHANANs OF FELLONMORE.2
      Catherine.2 Margaret)).2 Succeeded as 17th of Lochbuie.1 OF LOCHBUIE.2 In February 1751 served heir-male special to Hector, 16th Chief, and heir-male gen to Lachlan, 15th Chief, Nov 1751.2 On 2 September 1752 given sasine , built a new house at Lochbuie 1752 (in which Dr Samuel Johnson and James Boswell were entertained 1773).2 In 1758 jailed in Moy Castle Hector Maclean of Killean and Allan Maclaine of Kilmory, for which act he was fined 500 merks and forced to pay £180 damages.2
