Major Ranald Macdonald, 3rd of Kinlochmoidart was the son of Alexander Macdonald, 2nd of Kinlochmoidart and Marion Macdonald.2 He married Margaret Cameron, daughter of Major Donald Cameron.2 He died in 1725.2
