     Williamina Pollock Morris was the daughter of William Pollock Morris of Craig.2 She married Lt.-Col. Charles Somerville McAlester of Loup and Kennox, son of Charles Somerville MacAlister of Loup and Kennox and Mary Adeline Brabazon Lyon, in 1867.1 She died in 1872.1
     From 1867, her married name became McAlester.

     Lt.-Col. Charles Godfrey Somerville McAlester of Loup and Kennox was born in 1868.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Somerville McAlester of Loup and Kennox and Williamina Pollock Morris.2 He died on 14 March 1931, without issue.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1892 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ayrshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1915 in the 5th Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers.1

     William Henry Somerville McAlester was born on 5 May 1871.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Somerville McAlester of Loup and Kennox and Williamina Pollock Morris.2 He married Enid Evelyn Marie Stuart Wilkins, daughter of Colonel Hackett Wilkins, on 4 October 1905.1 He died on 17 June 1927 at age 56.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916.1
