     Alison Mary Patricia Ashton was the daughter of Thomas Wingrave Ashton.2 She married Alan William Wingfield Hewitt, 8th Viscount Lifford, son of Hon. George Wyldbore Hewitt and Elizabeth Mary Rampini, on 16 January 1935.1 She died on 10 February 2010.3
     Alison Mary Patricia Ashton usually went by her middle name of Mary.3 From 16 January 1935, her married name became Hewitt. After her marriage, Alison Mary Patricia Ashton was styled as Viscountess Lifford on 5 April 1954. She lived in 2003 at The Barn, Hursley, Hampshire, England.1

     He was educated at Aiglon College, Chesières-Villars, SwitzerlandG.2 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Lifford, co. Donegal [I., 1781] in 1987.2 He held the office of member of the London Stock Exchange.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Lifford of Lifford, co. Lydia Mary Hewitt was born on 10 May 1938.1 She is the daughter of Alan William Wingfield Hewitt, 8th Viscount Lifford and Alison Mary Patricia Ashton.2 She married Sir Michael Christopher Swann, 4th Bt., son of Sir Anthony Charles Christopher Swann, 3rd Bt. and Jean Margaret Niblock-Stuart, on 24 April 1965.1 She and Sir Michael Christopher Swann, 4th Bt. were divorced in 1983.2
     From 24 April 1965, her married name became Swann. She does not use her courtesy title.1 She lived in 2003 at Quedley Farm, Flimwell, Wadhurst, Sussex, England.1

     Sir Michael Christopher Swann, 4th Bt. was born on 25 September 1941.2 He is the son of Sir Anthony Charles Christopher Swann, 3rd Bt. and Jean Margaret Niblock-Stuart.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Lydia Mary Hewitt, daughter of Alan William Wingfield Hewitt, 8th Viscount Lifford and Alison Mary Patricia Ashton, on 24 April 1965.1 He and Hon. Lydia Mary Hewitt were divorced in 1983.2 He married, secondly, Marilyn Ann Morse Tobitt, daughter of Leslie Charles Tobitt, in 1988.2
