     Joseph Dudley was born on 23 September 1647 at Roxbury, Massachusetts, U.S.A.1 He was the son of Thomas Dudley and Katharine Deighton Hackburne.1 He married Rebecca Tyng in 1668.1 He died on 2 April 1720 at age 72.1
     He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, in 1665.1 He held the office of Memb erof Parliament (M.P.) for Newtown, Isle of Wight from 1701 to 1702.1 He held the office of Governor of Massachusetts between 11 June 1702 and 4 February 1715.1 He held the office of Governor of Massachusetts between 21 March 1715 and 9 November 1715.1

     Caroline Amelia Lechmere was born circa 1812 at Steeple Ashton, Oxfordshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral William Lechmere and Elizabeth Dashwood-King.3 She married Major Arthur Ogle, son of Reverend John Saville Ogle and Catherine Hannah Sneyd, on 10 September 1844.1 She died in 1857.2
     He inherited Steeple Aston.1 From 10 September 1844, her married name became Ogle.
