     He was Vicar at Kilmersdon, Bath, Somerset, England.¹ He held the office of Archdeacon of Launceston, Tasmania.¹

     Susan Tancred was the daughter of Sir Thomas Tancred, 6th Bt. and Harriet Lucy Crewe.² She married Reverend Thomas Clarke Whitehead on 2 January 1849.¹ She died on 23 March 1910.¹
     From 2 January 1849, her married name became Whitehead.

     Reverend Thomas Clarke Whitehead married Susan Tancred, daughter of Sir Thomas Tancred, 6th Bt. and Harriet Lucy Crewe, on 2 January 1849.¹ He died on 28 April 1873.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)²

     Sir Thomas Tancred, 7th Bt. was born on 16 August 1808.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 6th Bt. and Harriet Lucy Crewe.² He married Jane Selby, daughter of Prideaux John Selby and Lewis Tabitha Mitford, on 16 April 1839.¹ He died on 7 October 1880 at age 72.²
     He was a Fellow at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1832 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Tancred, of Boroughbridge, co. York [E., 1662] on 29 August 1844.¹
