     Edward Arthur O'Brien was born on 1 September 1840.¹ He was the son of Edward O'Brien and Louisa Susan Massy-Dawson.² He married Josephine Edith Morey, daughter of C. T. Morey, on 2 January 1877.¹ He died on 3 October 1912 at age 72, without issue.¹
