     Major Gerald Nolekin Horlick was born on 1 February 1888.1 He was the son of Sir James Horlick, 1st Bt. and Margaret Adelaide Burford.2 He died on 5 July 1918 at age 30, on active service.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Gloucestershire Yeomanry.1
