     Sir John David Hope of Craighall, 13th Bt. was born on 27 April 1809.1 He was the son of Sir John Hope of Craighall, 11th Bt. and Anne Wedderburn.2 He died on 14 July 1892 at age 83, unmarried.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Midlothian.1 He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Hope, of Craighall [N.S., 1628] on 24 January 1883.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.2

     Catherine Spens was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Archibald Spens, 21st of that Ilk and 18th of Lathallan and Charlotte Philip.2 She married Hugh Hope, son of Sir John Hope of Craighall, 11th Bt. and Anne Wedderburn, in 1848.1 She died on 17 March 1875.1
     From 1848, her married name became Hope.

     General Sir William Hope of Craighall, 14th Bt. was born on 12 January 1819.1 He was the son of Sir John Hope of Craighall, 11th Bt. and Anne Wedderburn.2 He married Alicia Henrietta Wedderburn, daughter of Sir John Wedderburn, 2nd Bt. and Henrietta Louisa Milburn, on 22 January 1862.1 He died on 5 September 1898 at age 79, without issue.1
     He fought in the Crimean War, with 71st Highlanders.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Hope, of Craighall [N.S., 1628] on 14 July 1892.1

     Sir John Wedderburn, 2nd Bt. was born on 1 May 1789.2 He was baptised on 1 May 1789 at Inchture, Perthshire, ScotlandG.3 He was the son of John Wedderburn and Alice Dundas.2 He married Henrietta Louisa Milburn, daughter of William Milburn, on 7 September 1822.2 He died on 2 July 1862 at age 73.2
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Wedderburn, of Ballindean, Perthshire [U.K., 1803] on 7 April 1858.2 He lived at Ballindean, Perthshire, Scotland.2

     Alicia Henrietta Wedderburn was the daughter of Sir John Wedderburn, 2nd Bt. and Henrietta Louisa Milburn.2 She married General Sir William Hope of Craighall, 14th Bt., son of Sir John Hope of Craighall, 11th Bt. and Anne Wedderburn, on 22 January 1862.1 She died on 19 June 1901.1
     From 22 January 1862, her married name became Hope.
