     Lady Alice Aleanor Louise Montagu was the son of George Victor Drogo Montagu, 8th Duke of Manchester and Francisca Maria de la Consolacion Yznaga.¹ He died on 10 January 1900, unmarried.¹

     Kathleen Dawes was born on 3 February 1897 at Southwark, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of W. H. Dawes.¹ She married William Angus Drogo Montagu, 9th Duke of Manchester, son of George Victor Drogo Montagu, 8th Duke of Manchester and Francisca Maria de la Consolacion Yznaga, on 17 December 1931.¹ She died on 28 March 1966 at age 69.¹
     After her marriage, Kathleen Dawes was styled as Duchess of Manchester on 17 December 1931. From 17 December 1931, her married name became Montagu.¹
