Charles Octavius Swinnerton Morgan was born on 15 September 1803.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Morgan, 2nd Bt. and Mary Margaret Stoney.1 He died on 5 August 1888 at age 84, unmarried.1
He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouthshire between 1841 and 1874.1
