     Sarah Sydenham was born in 1781 at St. Anne, Soho, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Humphrey Sydenham.1 She married General Tredway Clarke, son of Reverend Richard Clarke and Susannah Tredway, in 1812.1 She died on 15 January 1871 at Marylebone, London, England.1,2
     From 1812, her married name became Clarke.1

     Reverend Walter John Clarke was born on 3 April 1813 at Folkestone, Kent, England.2 He was the son of General Tredway Clarke and Sarah Sydenham.1 He married, firstly, Mary Broughton, daughter of Rev. Sir Henry Delves Broughton, 8th Bt. and Mary Pigott, on 9 January 1838 at Stone, Staffordshire, England.2 He married, secondly, Maria Frances Mayor, daughter of Reverend Joseph Mayor, on 17 September 1847.1 He died on 24 August 1903 at age 90 at Folkestone, Kent, England.2
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1835 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1838 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar between 1843 and 1847 at Sinderby, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1 He was the Vicar at Swinderby, Lincolnshire, England.3 He lived at Knoyle House, Folkestone, Kent, EnglandG.1
