     John Sandilands was the son of James Sandilands and Catherine Scott.1 He married Janet Craig, daughter of Robert Craig.1 He died on 21 May 1583.1
     He was the Parson at Hawick, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.1

     Barbara Sandilands is the daughter of James Sandilands and Catherine Scott.1 She married John Forbes of Rires in January 1556/57.1 A contract for the marriage of Barbara Sandilands and John Forbes of Rires was signed on 19 December 1556.1 She and John Forbes of Rires were divorced on 15 January 1564/65 for adultery with Patrick Hunter.1
     From January 1556/57, her married name became Forbes.1
