Reverend Robert Martin was born on 19 November 1809.1 He was the son of William Martin and Anne Wood Richards.2 He married, firstly, Selina Turner, daughter of John Frewen Turner, on 14 March 1839.1 He married, secondly, Marian Cecil Wood, daughter of Richard Warner Wood, on 20 September 1860.1 He died on 11 July 1871 at age 61.1
