     General Sir Webb Gillman was born on 26 October 1870.1 He was the son of Herbert Webb Gillman and Annie Mackwood.2 He married Caroline Grace Elizabeth Rube, daughter of Charles Rube, on 8 February 1911.1 He died on 20 April 1933 at age 62.1
     He was educated at Dulwich College, Dulwich, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned, in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.1 He fought in the Nigeria Campaign in 1902, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches ten times.1 He was awarded the Order of St. Anne of Russia in 1916 2nd class with swords.1 He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur in 1917.1 He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle of Serbia in 1917 3rd class with swords.1 He was awarded the Commander, Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy in 1917.1 He was awarded the Grand Commander of the Redeemer of Greece in 1918.1 He was member of the Army in India Committee in 1919.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1919.1 He was the Commandant between 1920 and 1924 at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was Inspector of Artillery, War Office between 1924 and 1927.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1927.1 He was Master-General of Ordnance and member of the Army Council between 1927 and 1931.1 He was Colonel-Commandan of the Royal Artillery between 1930 and 1933.1 He was GOC-in-C of the Eastern Command between 1931 and 1933.1

     Colonel Herbert Charles Rube Gillman was born on 22 January 1912.1 He was the son of General Sir Webb Gillman and Caroline Grace Elizabeth Rube.2 He married Catherine Stuart Holmes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Mathew Holmes, on 5 September 1939.1 He died on 3 October 1970 at age 58.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1940.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre with gold star.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1
