     Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp was born on 11 April 1872.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. George Ralph Collier Westropp and Ellen Blanche Bell.² He married Helen Mary Shotton, daughter of Edward Shotton, on 8 December 1904.¹ He died on 7 October 1957 at age 85.¹
     He was educated at Dover College, Dover, Kent, England^G.¹ He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1892 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was entered in the Indian Civil Service in 1893.¹ He was Collector and District Magistrate of Karachi in 1913.¹ He was Collector and District Magistrate of Poona in 1917.¹ He was member of the Viceroy's Legislative committee in 1917.¹

     Edward Shotton lived at Preston Tower, North Shields, Northumberland, England.¹

     Helen Mary Shotton was the daughter of Edward Shotton.² She married Alexander Sligo Anderson Westropp, son of Maj.-Gen. George Ralph Collier Westropp and Ellen Blanche Bell, on 8 December 1904.¹ She died on 20 December 1950.¹

     John Arthur Ralph Westropp was born on 12 September 1949.¹ He is the son of Edward Ralph Shotton Westropp and Irene Adah Reily Collins.^2,1 He married Lila Marion Summers, daughter of Norman Kenneth William Summers, on 10 August 1974.¹
