     Johannes Fürst von Thurn und Taxis was born on 5 June 1926. He was the son of Karl August Fürst von Thurn und Taxis and Maria Anna Rafaela de Bragança, Infanta de Portugal. He married Maria-Gloria Ferdinanda Joachima Josephine Wilhelmina Huberta Gräfin von Schönburg-Glauchau, daughter of Joachim Heinrich Maria Carl Rudolf Franz Xaver Joseph Antonius Christophorus Hubertus Graf von Schönburg-Glauchau and Countess Beatrix Széchényi, on 30 May 1980 at Regensburg, Germany. Johannes and Maria-Gloria Ferdinanda Joachima Josephine Wilhelmina Huberta were also married in a religious ceremony on 31 May 1980. He died on 28 December 1990 at age 64 at Regensburg, Germany.

     He was educated at Wyggeston Grammer School for Boys, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Acadamy of Dramatic Art, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Flight Sergeant Airgunner and Cameraman in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 He was an actor, film producer and director between 1942 and 1993.1 In 1961 he produced Whistle Down the Wind.1 In 1962 he produced The L-Shaped Room.1 In 1969 he produced and directed Oh!
