     He fought in the First World War.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches.¹

     Vera Isabel Atherley was the daughter of Hamilton Atherley.² She married Captain Arthur Henniker-Heaton, son of Sir John Henniker-Heaton, 1st Bt. and Rose Bennett, on 12 June 1913.¹ She died on 11 October 1965.¹

Robin John Henniker-Heaton was born in September 1915.¹ He was the son of Captain Arthur Henniker-Heaton and Vera Isabel Atherley.² He married, firstly, Sylvia Elizabeth Grumbar, daughter of Julian Charles Grumbar, on 16 July 1951.¹ He married, secondly, Barbara Ayers, daughter of William Newman Ayers, in 1958.¹ He died in 1985.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (S) in the service of the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was Assistant Treasurer of Sarawak.¹
