     James David Forbes was born on 20 April 1809.1 He was the son of Sir William Forbes of Pitsligo, 7th Bt. and Williamina Stuart.2 He married Alicia Wauchope, daughter of George Wauchope, on 4 July 1843.1 He died on 31 December 1868 at age 59.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)1 He was the Principal at United College of St. Salvator and St. LeonardG.1

     She was living on 16 June 1666.1

     James Stuart Forbes was born on 13 February 1888.1 He was the son of Edmund Batten Forbes and Charlotte Agnes Wauchope.2 He married Merion Josephine Knight, daughter of Alexander Knight, on 29 July 1920.1 He died on 29 April 1935 at age 47.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1

     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Argyllshire [Scotland] between 1640 and 1649.3
