     Ann Charlotte White was the daughter of Dr. J. White. She married Sir Hector Maclean Hay of Alderston, 7th Bt., son of Sir James Douglas Hamilton Hay of Alderston, 6th Bt. and Jane Sanders, on 9 February 1852.1 She died on 24 July 1888.1
     She was and widow of Lieutenant-Colonel William Charles Lewis Bird.1 She was in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 Her married name became Hay. 17th Light Dragoons.1

     William Thomas Hay was born on 20 August 1822.1 He was the son of Sir James Douglas Hamilton Hay of Alderston, 6th Bt. and Jane Sanders.1 He married Isabella Charles, daughter of Robert Charles, on 29 November 1860.1 He died on 15 September 1886 at age 64.1

     Sir William Henry Hay of Alderston, 8th Bt. was born on 30 May 1867.1 He was the son of William Thomas Hay and Isabella Charles.1 He died on 3 July 1927 at age 60 at AustraliaG, unmarried.1
     He was a house painter.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Hay, of Alderston, East Lothian [N.S., 1703] on 15 September 1916.1

     Edward Hay was born on 30 May 1870.1 He was the son of William Thomas Hay and Isabella Charles.1 He died in 1936, without having proved his succession or assumed the title unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hay, of Alderston, East Lothian [N.S., 1703] on 3 July 1927, de jure.1
