     Lt.-Col. Henry Hanmer was born on 23 January 1789.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Hanmer, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Kenyon.2 He married Sarah Serra Ximenes, daughter of Sir Morris Ximenes, on 27 January 1815.1 He died on 2 February 1868 at age 79, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the KH.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1
