John Wright Guise was born on 28 June 1855.1 He was the son of Francis Edward Guise and Henrietta Carnac.2 He married, firstly, Helen Edith Sumner, daughter of Charles Sumner and Margaret Boulcott, on 3 June 1884.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Crawshay, daughter of Edwin Crawshay, on 27 November 1893.1 He died on 19 March 1916 at age 60.1
