     Sir William Hope of Kirkliston, 1st Bt. was born on 15 April 1660.1 He was the son of Sir James Hope and Anne Foulis.1 He married Elizabeth Clerk circa 1682.1 He died on 1 February 1724 at age 63.1
     He held the office of Deputy Governor of Edinburgh Castle.1 He was appointed Knight.1 He was created 1st Baronet Hope, of Balcombie [Nova Scotia] on 1 March 1698, with special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.1

     Sir William Hope of Kirkliston, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1726.1 He was the son of Sir George Hope of Kirkliston, 2nd Bt. and Anne MacKenzie.1 He died in 1763 at Bengal, IndiaG, killed, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hope, of Balcombie [N.S., 1698] on 30 November 1729.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 31st Foot.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 On his death, his baronetcy became dormant.1

     Isabella Morehead was the daughter of Reverend Robert Morehead.1 She married Sir Charles Hugh Lowther, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Lowther, 1st Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Fane, on 10 May 1834.1 She died on 2 July 1887.1
     From 10 May 1834, her married name became Lowther.1

     Clara Eva Lambert was born in 1838 at Castle Ellen, County Galway, Ireland.2,1 She was the daughter of Captain Peter Lambert and Maria Louisa Carroll.3 She married Alexander Reid Oakes on 8 January 1861 at MacLeay River District, New South Wales, Australia.2,1 She died on 11 April 1903 at Waverley, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.2
     She emigrated to Australia arriving on 1856.2 From 21 March 1861, her married name became Oakes.2
