     Frederick Granville Sinclair was born on 8 December 1857.1 He was the son of Reverend Robert Boothby Heathcote and Elizabeth Bridget Wells.2 He married Agnes Charlotte Barnes, daughter of Thomas J. Barnes, on 18 October 1888.1 He died on 16 March 1914 at age 56.1
     He was given the name of Frederick Granville Heathcote at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1885 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 In 1889 his name was legally changed to Frederick Granville Sinclair.1 He lived in 1889 at Barrogill Castle, Caithness, Scotland, which he inherited from the 15th Earl of Caithness.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Caithness.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cambridge.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Caithness.1

Barnes.1 She married, firstly, Frederick Granville Sinclair, son of Reverend Robert Boothby Heathcote and Elizabeth Bridget Wells, on 18 October 1888.1 She married, secondly, Reverend George Leo Sinclair-Gerold on 19 December 1923 at Marylebone, London, England.1,2 She died in 1950 at Surrey, England.2
     From 18 October 1888, her married name became Heathcote. From 1889, her married name became Sinclair. From 19 December 1923, her married name became Sinclair-Gerold.1
