     Mary Sidney Smith was the daughter of Sir Christopher Sidney Smith, 2nd Bt. and Mary Foley.2 She married Reverend Samuel John Heathcote, son of Reverend Thomas Heathcote and Georgiana Fuller, on 27 August 1846.1 She died in 1885.1
     From 27 August 1846, her married name became Heathcote.

Reverend Samuel Sidney Heathcote1

     Reverend Samuel Sidney Heathcote was born on 31 August 1848.1 He was the son of Reverend Samuel John Heathcote and Mary Sidney Smith.2 He married Elizabeth Lucy Owen, daughter of Reverend Edward Owen, on 29 October 1901.1 He died on 20 July 1933 at age 84.1
     He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was the Rector between 1893 and 1904 at Bondleigh, Devon, England.1

Lt.-Col. John Robert Campbell Heathcote1

     Lt.-Col. John Robert Campbell Heathcote was born on 24 April 1879.1 He was the son of John Cuthbert Heathcote and Lady Eva Campbell.2 He married, firstly, Evelyn Margaret McClellan on 24 November 1898.1 He and Evelyn Margaret McClellan were divorced in 1920.1 He married, secondly, Mary Gertrude Brandt, daughter of Oscar Brandt, on 4 March 1920.1 He died on 15 July 1947 at age 68.1
     He fought in the Boer War in 1902.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Cameron Highlanders.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force.1
