     Reverend John Jebb was born on 16 February 1736 at Southampton Street, Covent Garden, London, England.2 He was the son of John Jebb and Anne Gansel.3 He married Anne Torkington, daughter of Reverend James Torkington and Lady Dorothy Sherard.1 He died in 1786, without issue.1,2
     He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).1 He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1
