James Heygate was born on 11 January 1747.1 He was the son of Nicholas Heygate and Mary Anne Cooke.2 He married Sarah Unwin, daughter of Samuel Unwin, on 11 January 1781.1 He died on 11 April 1833 at age 86.1

William Unwin Heygate was born on 12 March 1825.1 He was the son of Sir William Heygate, 1st Bt. and Isabella Mackmurdo.2 He married Constance Mary Beaumont, daughter of Sir George Howland Willoughby Beaumont, 8th Bt. and Mary Anne Howley, on 6 July 1852.1 He died on 2 March 1902 at age 76.1
