     Frances Poley was the daughter of George Weller Poley.2 She married Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt., son of Captain Richard Gethin and Jane South, on 25 June 1846.1 She and Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. were divorced in January 1862.1 She died on 27 August 1906.1
     From 25 June 1846, her married name became Gethin.

Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt.1

     Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. was born on 30 November 1847.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. and Frances Poley.2 He married Catherine Cowie Scott, daughter of Frederick Edward Burton Scott and Harriet Cowie, on 5 June 1876.1 He died on 17 June 1921 at age 73.2
     He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Gethin, of Gethins Grot, co. Cork [I., 1665] in 1885.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the 4th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1

     Catherine Cowie Scott was born in 1849.2 She was the daughter of Frederick Edward Burton Scott and Harriet Cowie.3,2 She married Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt., son of Sir Richard Gethin, 6th Bt. and Frances Poley, on 5 June 1876.1 She died on 16 December 1932.1
     From 5 June 1876, her married name became Gethin.

     Major Frederic Durrant Scott Gethin was born on 19 October 1879.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Charles Percy Gethin, 7th Bt. and Catherine Cowie Scott.2 He married Margaret Cecilia Forrest, daughter of L. R. W. Forrest, on 12 June 1915.1 He died on 20 January 1959 at age 79.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1

     John Amory Forrest Gethin was born on 16 February 1916 at London, England.1,2 He was the son of Major Frederic Durrant Scott Gethin and Margaret Cecilia Forrest.3 He married Barbara Damarel Cicely Westlake, daughter of Alan Robert Cecil Westlake, on 12 May 1941 at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.1,2 He died on 8 May 1965 at age 49 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1,2 His will was proven (by probate) on 23 October 1967 at Victoria, Australia.2
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was with the Foreign Service between 1939 and 1959.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1948 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1
