Dorothy Jefford Fowler was the daughter of Sir George Jefford Fowler and Ellen Martha Gledhill.2,3 She married Irvine Campbell Geddes, son of Auckland Campbell Geddes and Christina Helen McLeod Anderson, on 1 August 1911.1 She died on 1 July 1976.1

Ford Irvine Geddes was born on 17 January 1913.1 He was the son of Irvine Campbell Geddes and Dorothy Jefford Fowler.2 He married Barbara Gertrude Vere Okeden, daughter of Charles Fitzmaurice Parry Okeden, on 8 December 1945.1 He died on 2 October 2002 at age 89.1
He was educated at Loretto School, Muselborough, East Lothian, ScotlandG.1 He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1 He was director of the Bank of NSW (London Advisory Board) between 1950 and 1981.1 He was director and president of Equitable Life Assurance between 1955 and 1976.1 He was director then chairman of P&O between 1960 and 1972.1 He was chairman of the British Shipping Foundation between 1965 and 1968.1 He was president of the International Shipping Foundation between 1967 and 1969.1
