Sir Henry Russell Ford, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 April 1911.1 He was the son of Sir Patrick Johnston Ford, 1st Bt. and Jessie Hamilton Field.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Wright, daughter of Godfrey Fitzherbert Wright and Maud Frances Bateman Wright, on 8 August 1936.1 He died on 22 December 1989 at age 78.1,3
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ford, of Westerdunes, co.
