William Farquharson, 8th of Invercauld was born circa 1677.1 He was the son of Alexander Farquharson, 7th of Invercauld and Elizabeth Mackintosh.2 He died in 1694, unmarried.1

John Farquharson, 9th of Invercauld was the son of Alexander Farquharson, 7th of Invercauld and Elizabeth Mackintosh.2 He married, firstly, Isobel Burnett, daughter of Sir Alexander Burnett of Craigmyle.2 He married, fourthly, Jean Forbes, daughter of Thomas Forbes, 3rd of Waterton.2 He married, secondly, Christian Menzies of Weem.2 He married, thirdly, Margaret Murray, daughter of Lord James Murray of Dowally and Anne Murray, in April 1720.2 He died in 1750.2
He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 15 July 1697.2 He fought in the Jacobite Rising in 1715, and was then imprisoned London.2 He held the office of Burgess of Perth in 1720.2 He held the office of Burgess of Inverness in 1720.2 He sold Wardhouse to John Gordon of Law circa 1726.2 He held the office of Burgess of Stirling in 1728.2 He held the office of Burgess of Queensferry in 1728.2

Francis Farquharson of Finzean was the son of Alexander Farquharson of Finzean and Margaret Keith.2 He married Margaret Arbuthnot, daughter of Alexander Arbuthnot, 4th of Findowrie and Margaret Lindsay.2 He died in March 1707.2

Francis Farquharson of Monaltrie was the son of Alexander Farquharson of Monaltrie and Anne Farquharson.2 He married Margaret Eyre, daughter of Rowland Eyre, in 1763.1 He died in 1791, without issue.1
Francis Farquharson of Monaltrie also went by the nick-name of 'Baron Ban'.1 He fought in the Jacobite Rising in 1745, and was taken prisoner after Culloden, confined in England until 1766.1 In 1784 his confiscated estates were restored to him.1
