     Sir William Albert Fairbairn 5th Bt. was born on 6 April 1902.1 He was the son of Thomas Gordon Fairbairn and Jennie Cora Davies.2 He married Christine Renée Cotton Croft, daughter of Reverend Canon Robert William Croft, on 2 December 1925.1 He died on 18 December 1972 at age 70.1
     Manchester.1 He was educated privately.1 He was also known as 5th Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].1 He lived Ardwick.1

     Sir (James) Brooke Fairbairn, 6th Bt. was born on 10 December 1930.3 He is the son of Sir William Albert Fairbairn 5th Bt. and Christine Renée Cotton Croft.2 He married Mary Russell Scott, daughter of William Russell Scott, on 5 November 1960.3 He married Mrs. Rosemary Anne Victoria Washbourn Henderson, daughter of Edwin Henderson, on 22 February 1997.3
