     Pownoll William Pellew was born on 27 January 1837.1 He was the son of Reverend Edward Pellew and Marianne Winthrop.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Bagnel, daughter of Reverend John Armstrong Bagnel, on 20 June 1867.1 He died on 12 March 1872 at age 35.1
     Pownoll William Pellew was Commander Royal Navy.1
